I drank this beer in the mid 1980's whilst living in Boston's Back Bay. It was the second beer that Jim Koch made after his flagship beer Boston Lager. Lightship as I recall was golden in color, crisp, lightly toasty, very light bodied and easy drinking. It wasn't around for too long but I enjoyed it because it was local, good tasting and different.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
