Reviewing this beer from memory. My twenty third brew reviewed from these guys. Like most beers from Boston Beer Company, also known as Sam Adams, this is just ok.

From the recent mix-pack, this one is a pale amber-gold color with a frothy white head. It is crystal clear and has an earthy, herbal aroma. Some bitter citrus peel sits underneath. The taste is nicely balanced with a nice bitterness. Somewhat of a chalky feel and the beer dries out in the mid-taste. Hoppy finish. Nice session IPA. I'd prefer more like this than all of the recent hazy fruit bombs.

It's everything your looking for in a middle of the road ipa. The color is light. It has some hop presence on the nose. The flavor is slightly elevated from a session ipa. The flavor is there and it's highly crushable.

Look: It pours golden and clear with a white head. Head retention is good.

Smell: It has aromas of citrus with a bit of dankness and bread.

Taste: There are citrus and grainy flavors. There are light bread notes with a bit of dankness.

Feel: It has a medium light body.

Overall, a grainy bready beer with some citrus flavors.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours orange red with a small white head. Smells of fresh fruit and citrus. Tastes of cereal grain with citrus notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

12 oz bottle. Pours deep golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head and lively carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy hops, bready malt and tropical fruit. Body is medium and crisp. Herbal hops, bready malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Good brew.

I like Sam Adams so I gave this a shot as part of the new variety pack. There's some decent citrusy notes, but the mouthfeel and finish are mediocre at best. The bitterness of the hops is generally a turnoff for me when it comes to IPAs and this one is unfortunately no exception. I guess I'll have the other two in the variety pack, but I'm not really going to relish them.

Golden color with small but lasting white cap

Aroma of sweet slightly caramely malt with spicy h\sharp hops.

Flavors on entry are sweet malt of about medium strength and sharp hops with the same intensity. Simple, uncomplicated brew apparently designed to have wide appeal

One expects hops in a generic IPA but one doesn't always get malt to equal. This has both in just about the right proportions.

Pours clear honey amber with a smallish white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is faint, some bready malt, a touch of citrus. Flavor follows the nose, some lemon and malt, a hint of bitter hops in the finish. Feel is light bodied with good carbonation. Overall, not bad for a low ABV beer.
