Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a deep amber color with a one finger head of tan foam. The head has a great level of retention, fading over time and leaving a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is quite heavy of a caramel and lightly toasted bready malt smell. Along with these aromas come a decent showing of cherry and plum, as well as notes of a mustiness and a bit of nut.
Taste- The taste begins with a sweet caramel and rather big lightly toasted bready flavor. Mixed with these tastes comes a bit of cherry, plum, and raisin, along with notes of molasses and toffee. The sweet and malty stay strong throughout, and are joined by notes of a very light earthy and herbal hop. Toward the end a touch of bitter coffee comes in and with the bready and sweet staying strong, one is left with a rather rich and malty taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is medium to heavier in thickness and creaminess with a moderate level of carbonation. For the malty nature of the brew the feel is good and makes for an easy sipper.
Overall – A nice malty lager. Very Oktoberfest like in nature. Well worth a try.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Pours deep red with an off white head. Smells of fresh fruit, weak but somewhat inviting. Tastes of sweet roasted grain and fresh fruit. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, a good beer.

Like others have said, there's a good amount of caramel maltiness that is very forward on this beer. Good flavor profile, nice color, decent lacing, and good mouthfeel makes for a solid beer. Finishes very well and I'll be happy to finish the others in the variety pack. Good job Sammy!

Deep Amber color with small diminishing white cap.
Aroma of sharp spicy hops and caramel malt.
Flavors on entry are roasted caramel malt with a lift from the hops. Roasted to the point of a slight bitterness yet offset by the grain sweetness. Hops are there from start to finish but really serve to balance against the caramel sweetness of the grain.
Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.
Overall it's a good example if you like your Reds on the sweet side. It is tasty, clean and uncomplicated.

Pours a gorgeous clear reddish color with a thick off-white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is roasted malts and caramel. Flavor follows the nose, a touch sweet. Feel is light bodied, well carbonated. Overall, a very nice beer.

From a 12 oz bottle. Best by May
This beer is clear pouring. Dark amber in color, and looking quite beautiful. The head is not too thick at 1 finger, but the head retention is great. The head color is off white, more red/white. No lacing on the glass.
Slight aroma. Mostly biscuit/malt here. Not too strong, but not offensive at all.
Taste - A lot of malts here. There's a bread/biscuit flavor. I get a caramel sweetness. Some roasted flavors. Somewhat sweet, but a slight bitterness on the back.
Crisp, light, yet clean body.
Interesting beer overall.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass.
Look: Brown with a red hue, not unlike what you might see on a cowboy boot. Thin, off-white head.
Smell: Sweet and lightly malty. As I continue to nose the beer the sweetness fades and a light bitterness takes over. I have no real complaints here, I just wish there was a bit more going on.
Taste: An initial surge of hops. There is an off note here that i can't quite put my finger on. Sweet, caramel malt creeps in, then fades away for a lightly bitter, hoppy finish. This beer is more hoppy than I expected it to be. The sweetness and the hoppyness are a bit at odds. The flavors don't come across as super cohesive, but rather disjointed.
Feel: Nice medium body for easy drinking. Not super fizzy, so almost a little watery.
Overall: Fine enough for a one off, I guess.

12oz bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, fizzy, white head. It left minimal lacing. It smelled of biscuity malt, caramel and toffee. Sweet caramel taste with maltiness and a mild bitterness.

Purchased as part of the Prime Time VP.
Look: Beautiful Amber with medium head.
Smell: Malt dominates with subtle hints of fruit.
Taste: A lot of malt up front gives way to a rather bizarre strawberry flavor. A little sweet, a little tangy, and really unappealing.
Feel: High in mouth and has a decent creaminess to it.
Overall: I normally enjoy beers with fruit, but I really didn’t like the strawberry taste I got in this one. No I do not recommend this brew.
