Malt-forward, golden, sweet, and soft blonde ale. Light cereal & biscuit notes team up with touches of tangerine to give Breakaway Blonde a balanced complexity. The light-body, clean, and quick finish will make the whole crowd cheer for more.

This is easy drinking, with medium carbonation, a pale malt body with a sweet finish and a clean aftertaste. A touch of fruitiness in the nose and a touch of hops but fairly one dimensional. Still fine for what it is.

From the 12 oz can, it pours a lighter yellow color with a very nice thick white head that slowly diminishes and leaves lacing. Nose gets some crackery bready scent. The mouth follows with a light malt flavor - nothing stands out, but it is easy to drink.

Purchased in a Sam Adams variety pack.
LOOK: Pours a beautiful bright gold color with a robust all white head, along with great looking curtains of lace. This is a good looking beer.
AROMA: Cracker, grass slight hop scent.
TASTE: Clean, crisp with a little hop touch.
Easy drinking and refreshing.

Pours with short head but did not break up right away. Nice even yellow and clear. Smell faint sweetness and malt. Very even beer going down and lives up to its calling smooth. For. 4.7 % beer very good. Light taste but not light in character. Great summer beer especially if thirsty.

This is your basic blonde ale, nothing fancy. It's pretty good but didn't stand out at all. I got it as part of a sampler pack which amazingly did not include an IPA or their standard Sam Adams lager, so I was excited to try all of them. Maybe one of the other three will be more interesting.

Smells good. Not much going on the taste department (but that's my take about a lot of things in this style I've tried). Drinkable, would go well with any food.

12 ounce bottle - $2.29 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Enjoy Before Month Notched - JUL

Appearance: Pours a clear, rich yellow body with a thinning, white head.

Smell: Mild scent of cold, leftover biscuit innards from the fridge with some background cereal hints and a snippet of dried herb.

Taste: A smooth, subtle bready, biscuity tone with minimal sweetness and faint nutty oat tones. Pretty devoid of hop flavor, just a bit of herb, really, with very little imparted bitterness. Fairly dry finish, not there was much sweetness ever to begin with.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied fortified with some slight oat smoothness. Medium carbonation.

Overall: It's alright.

This is a beer drinkers light beer, not heavy, or especially flavorful, there are some floral and fruit notes, but nothing in your face. If you want heavy citrus or grapefruit or Hops I would stay away. If you want a light beer with a little more flavor I would try it.
