Released January 2019; drank 5/11/19 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy yellow/orange appearance.
A violent pour yielded a HUGE bright white head; thick, frothy lace.
Table sugar, lemon & orange citrus notes in the nose.
Sticky medium mouthfeel.
Table sugar, lemon & orange citrus flavors up front; mild, sticky caramel notes on the finish. No booze heat.
Cloying & not fruity enough for me; a pass moving forward.

Hazy yellow with two fingers of soupy off-white head. Heavy lacing.
Play-doh, orange, lemon, coriander, white bread and yeast in the nose. Not entirely unlike a witbier.
The taste leads with mango, pineapple, orange and more of that doughy, yeasty quality that reminds me of Play-doh. Light herbal bitterness in the finish.
Medium bodied with restrained carbonation.
There’s a lot to like in this beer, but the doughy malt presence isn’t to my taste.

Pouring this beer from a 16 oz. can into a Willi Becher glass it pours out completely hazed and a straw like lighter orange shade. It forms a rocky one finger width white crown.
The smell is pungent with tangy and ripe fruit. Some very slight sweetness that I get from lactose in Milkshake IPAs sometimes.
The taste comes in with that pungent fruit. It quickly turns into a more dank and musty element. Man this is sharp. Definitely not as smooth as I want. This is not what I want when I see Citra in something. It's just too harsh and sharp. Maybe I'm just not liking NEipas even more than I already did. But I don't think that's it with this one. It just doesn't work for me.
