Originating in Cologne (Koln) Germany, Kolsch beer is renowned for its light body and clean, crisp taste. Brewed with a nod to the old world German processes, Flagship Kill Van Kolsch continues this tradition of delicate and balanced beer.

The beer pours a really nice white foamy head as it's poured while the beer itself is a very good looking clear pale gold.

The smell and taste are fairly simple and good. The stronger notes are a honey malt dominating the smell while it is a bit more balanced in the taste with a bitter hop note.

The feel is decent. It's light bodied but the feel is a tiny bit thin and watery but not by much.

Overall, a decent kolsch and one that would go pretty good on a hot day.

Ordered my hop light pack and this was one of the 32 oz growlers. Not a big fan of kolsch, lager, pilsner, so automatically biased.

A - Straw yellow dehydrated urine. Zero head.
S - Hoppy, fresh, and simultaneously bland and nothingness
T - Bitter and bland, but not an IPA bitter as much as a dehydrating, bittering feeling on the tongue. Like a terrible Heineken with marginal improvements
M - Light, water, corona, no fizz, no bubbles, no character really
O - like I said, I'm not a fan of the style overall. For the attempt at being a kolsch, I'll say that flagship accomplished their goal of creating a kolsch that embodies the style. From a "do I like it?" perspective, the answer is no, or at best, meh.
