On tap at The Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a dark glossy black, with a half inch creamy looking head, and a bit of lacing.
Smells awesome, a ton of Irish whiskey, so much vanilla marshmallow, fudge, brownie batter, and buttery oak.
This is honestly an enthralling and delicious BA stout. The Irish whiskey is right there, present, and tasty, adding a slight earthy butteriness from the Irish whiskey, tons of oak, a good amount of dark chocolatey fudge. There is basically no alcohol heat at all, it certainly makes you feel warm, but it doesn't translate to the taste at all. I'm super impressed that a BA stout of this caliber could come from Rochester.
This is thick and cremay in the mouthfeel, with a lower level of carbonation. it's very drinkable, despite the ABV.
This was stunningly good.
