On tap at Stoneyard Brewing Company in Brockport, NY.
This one pours a dark brown, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
Smells like roasted malt, toasted bread, a little bit of caramel, roasted coffee, chocolate, and some smoke.
This has a lot going on for a merely 6.5% porter. It's got a nice smokey and earthy undertone, with some sweet caramel and chocolate, and a good amount of roasted malt, giving a nice bitterness to play off the sweetness. Standard porters don't get much better than this.
This is medium bodied, and a very creamy mouthfeel.
More typically stellar stuff from this great brewery.
