Crowler purchased at McCann's Local Meats in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark brown, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
Smells like bready malt, toffee, chocolate, clove, and indeed- pretzels.
This tastes like a fairly dark pretzel, perhaps studded with chocolate or toffee. It's pretty delicious, with a slightly salty finish. The Bavarian in the name makes me think this might have been fermented with a Hefeweizen yeast/ as I get a bit of clove on the nose and tongue.
This is medium bodied, with a clean and bready mouthfeel, and a crisp finish.
Another winner from Stoneyard, no surprises.
