Crowler purchased from McCann's Local Meats in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a hazy orange-ish/amber color. Stoneyard was going for a hazy NE-style IPA here, and at least in appearance, it's not quite that- it doesn't look like gravy. It's just a mildly hazy, but radiant color.
This smells like bitter grapefruit, peach, pineapple, and pine.
Stoneyard tends to mae West Coast-ish style IPAs very well, and this kinda feels like a West Coast IPA in a NE-style Halloween costume. It's still got a pretty present bitterness to it, pine and dank green, but there is a very juicy character to this, lots of grapefruit, slightly tart orange, peach, and some canned pineapple sort of juiciness. The bitterness lingers for a while.
This has a lower level of carbonation, with a pretty juicy mouthfeel, as prophesied by the beer name.
This isn't Stoneyard's best IPA (Little Guy, Meathead, Hashhead, etc) but it's still a really good run at the NE-style, if they didn't entirely nail it.
