On tap at Stoneyard Craft Beer Hall and Grill in Webster, NY.
This one pours a light-ish amber, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
Smells like grassiness, pine, a bit of grapefruit, and a surprising booziness- it's only 6.4%, so that's certainly not expected.
The slight and out-of-place booziness carries over to the taste. It doesn't make the beer bad, it just docks it a few points. There's some definitely nice bitterness, grassy, clean, and piney, with some very light grapefruit hop flavor, and slightly sweet malt.
This is medium bodied, maybe a bit heavy for a pale ale, with a good level of carbonation.
This is pretty nice, but not Stoneyard's best.
