On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a mildly hazy yellow, with a small head, and a good bit of lacing.
Smells like clean pine, some weed, bitter grapefruit, orange and pineapple.
This was described as trying to make a West Coast style IPA with the mouthfeel of a NE-style IPA, and it's basically a success. It's sharp and hoppy, but with some nice soft fruit flavors- orange and pineapple as mentioned above. It finishes only mildly bitter, with basically no malt presence.
This has a fairly soft mouthfeel, but it's not quite the fluffy delight that TH/Trillium/whoever makes. It's getting there.
I've come to expect that basically all Stoneyard IPAs are gonna be really nice.
