Our Making Moves series continue the tradition of celebrating momentous occasions for us here at Stoneyard. This Double Dry Hopped version is new for 2018 and is our first DDH IPA in our new production facility. Loaded with Mosaic Cryo hops, regular Mosaic hops, and a whole bunch of El Dorado hops, this beer screams with aromas of guava, papaya, nectarine, honeydew, and strawberry. A pleasant, mild bitterness prevents the beer from being a cloying mess, and at 7.8%, it's a sneaky delicious beer.

Poured from a 16 oz. can. Has a cloudy golden/orange color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is of honeydew, some strawberries. Taste is the same as the aroma, a hint of mango, light bitterness. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall is a decent beer. I would have went with "New England IPA" as the style.

Mildly hazy looking golden body; thick, sculpted white head. Pine resin aroma with some citrus notes lurking underneath. Initial citrus taste quickly transitions to a rather caramel and faint butterscotch malt flavor; nice hop bitterness throughout; citrus pith. Heavy body; smooth and velvety; dry mouthfeel throughout.
I can't say this is a stupendous beer overall. It looks fantastic yet the the taste and mouthfeel are pretty much limited and almost one-dimensional, focused in to a dry, citrus pith character. It's okay but not something this beer drinker would seek out again.

Poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a nicely done semi-dark burnt orange color capped by a half a finger's worth of level foamy white head. Softly dissipated to leave some wispy concave lace.
The aroma had some sweet orange marmalade character up front mixing with some apricot and over ripe mango. Honey-ed biscuit like malt centers in on the backbone.
The flavor mostly played with the orange marmalade sweetness - some apricot and over ripe mango came in to blend nicely. Big orange marmalade aftertaste with honey-ed biscuit malts.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV seemed appropriate. Finish seemed to scrape with some dry hopping and that orange marmalade like character.
Overall, I can't find a date on the can anywhere but somehow this feels and tastes a bit old. I must admit, it's actually solid despite its possible age. I just have a feeling this fresh is probably way better than it is now.

Opaque golden orange with a creamy white head. Good retention and sheets of lacing.
Smells like ripe cantaloupe, honeydew melon, papaya, apricot, grass, and bell pepper.
Tastes like cantaloupe, honyedew melon, papaya, apricot, toast, dough, grass, and bell pepper.
Soft and supple mouthfeel with moderate carbonation.
A really nice IPA, reminiscent of Singlecut!
