Pours a clear gold. Thin foam. Peachy aroma. Big peach body. Fades quickly to a light bitterness. Pretty basic peach flavored beer. No frills.

Stoneyard Brewing Co. "Peach Kolsch"
16 fl. oz. can coded "44662"
$3.99 @ Total Wine & More, Cherry Hill, NJ
Notes via stream of consciousness: Peach Kölsch is an oxymoron. If you add peach it's no longer a Kölsch, right? Nor is it a Kölsch if it wasn't brewed in Köln. Why call it a Peach Kolsch" then? It's just a golden ale with peach. It's poured a hazy golden body beneath a full head of white foam that steadily settled into a 3/4" cap. The aroma clearly displays peach and it's authentic. The label reads "FRESH PEACHES" so you've got to hand it to them for that. The taste retains the same intensity of peach wrapped up in sweetish and grainy malt. There is a little bit of an odd note that's kind of vegetal but it's not bad. I'm assuming that's coming from the peaches, and that actually makes it a little more interesting to me. It's somewhat floral but there's no way to tell if that's from the hops or the fruit. A moderate bitterness balances it perfectly and it never appears sweet despite the additional fruit. In the mouth it's medium bodied and crisp. Now, back to the head, it held at 3/4" of an inch for a moment but then it dropped. That's fine, that's better than average, but it didn't leave any lacing behind. I know I have a "beer clean" glass because I used it earlier today and I got good lacing. Forgetting about that it's really quite nice. You could drink it at anytime but for myself I see it as a great summer beer. Worth trying.

16oz can. White wine color, cloudy, scant head. Aroma is peach hard candy. Taste is sweet, hard candy. Not too much kölsch character here, might as well be a golden ale.

Pours a hazy yellow with a bit of foam. This is tasty but it’s a little too fizzy and scratchy going down. Also a bit of a bitter aftertaste. It’s just OK.

Solid easy drinking kolsch. A touch of bitterness from peach the peach rind however still a solid kolsch. I could see myself drinking this beer on a Summer day.

On tap at Acme Bar and Pizza in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear dark orange color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
There's basically no Kolsch-y aromas here, just artificial peach, with a stale and unappetizing sweetness on the nose.
Stoneyard used to be one of my absolute favorite breweries, but they seem to have completely fallen off the face of the Earth lately. This also isn't a great beer, with artificial peach, and a lackluster base Kolsch. It just feels like a basic boring lager, none of the interesting intricacies that make a Kolsch a Kolsch.
This is light bodied, and at least fairly drinkable, as it's got a decent fruity sweetness.
This is a very far cry from what I remember with this brewery. It's pretty sad.
