On tap at The Sheffield in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a mostly clear golden orange color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells kind of astringent and malty, with some orange peel and grapefruit.
I keep wishing Stoneyard would taste more like they used to, but it’s just not happening. This is just so bland – just a little bit of peppery bitterness, some orange and grapefruit peel, and a bit too much maltiness for the style.
This is lighter bodied, not finishing all that cleanly or smoothly, with not enough drinkability – I don’t crave more of this.
This is extremely average to below average.
