I'm not into Porters or Stouts unless they are Imperials. Now I like some of them, but at the time I had these I gave this one a really good rating considering the circumstances.

Sampled this cellar temp 22 oz bottle poured into my snifter. The beer is a rich dark chocolate pour into my glass. A dense creamy tan head of 3cm foams up and remains as an edge layer throughout the sampling.
Aroma is roasted malt and dark chocolate. A little coffee too, and some faint vanilla. No hops and the booze is well hidden here. Malty brew here based on the nose.
First sip reveals a smooth creamy textured beer with gentle rolling carbonation. Almost a nitogen texture here, very easy drinking physical traits here.
Flavor is less complex than the nose with roasted malt and some sweetened coffee notes. I dont find the vanilla nor are there any traces of booze. The hops are also subdued behind the malt forwardness. A bit of chocolate lingers after each sip.
A nice beer that isnt flawed but doesnt blow me away either. Worth trying and a cool name, but I wouldnt chase it down.

Appearance – The beer pours a nearly pitch black color with a tiny off white/crème colored head. The head fades very fast to leave just some light traces of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is massive of a nice roasted malt smell that has tons of char and coffee mixed within. Along with these aromas comes some sweeter smells of milk, caramel, vanilla, and a bit chocolate bringing an overall mocha like smell to the nose. With just a bit of dark fruit of cherry and plum, a hint of herb and hay, and some subtle alcohol, the overall aroma is of a rich, roasty, coffee smell.
Taste – The taste begins much drier then I would have expected, but as would be expected, it begins very heavy on the roasted malt and has some wonderful flavors of coffee, vanilla, and toast. As the taste advances more and more sweetness of a milk, sweet crème, and caramel flavor come to the tongue bringing a very latte like flavor to the brew. A little bit of cocoa develops later on in the taste and is joined by some light alcohol and a bit of herbal hop. While the sweetness increases throughout the taste, it never becomes overpowering, and in the end, one is left with a lightly boozy, mocha latte taste to linger on the tongue. Quite nice!!
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is slightly thicker and chewier with a carbonation level that is on the slightly lower side. For the rich coffee and moderately sweet and boozy taste the feel is fantastic and makes this one a nice slow sipper.
Overall – I was skeptical at first, as most milk stouts/porters I find overly sweet. While moderately sweet, this one was very balanced and drinkable as it had tons of coffee, roast, and alcohol to keep it all in a prime slower sipping state. This was a well crafted brew and one to try if you get the chance.

22 oz glass bomber from my good friend Lara. Says 9,5% and 25 IBUs. " Imperial Espresso Milk Porter". Father Jack God Bless him in front Black or as near to it, body with a nice sized creamy tan head. Great creamy, oaty ,dark chocolate and french coffee aromas..excellent indeed. Taste similar but even more creamy and more chocolaty than the aroma. Very nice low carbonated and silky smooth palate to this one. An excellent Imperial Porter..beautifully done.

Because there are so few reviews here, I'm going to post this from Feckin Brewery's own website:

"A stone-cold stunner, this Imperial Milk Porter is brewed with vanilla beans, cold-brewed coffee and steel-cut oats then aged in Eastside Distilling whiskey barrels. Pitch perfect. Voted Best in Show at the 2015 Holiday Ale Festival.

The Boubon barrels from Eastside Distilling I assume are white dog, meaning I don’t think they add much bourbon spice or oak but a bit more booziness. It doesn’t matter, its perfectly balanced smooth nutty coffee, its absent of the acidicness or metallic quality that sometimes comes from adding coffee and it’s not too toasty or bitter either. Perhaps its the vanilla bean that helps smooth it out but I bet it’s just as much a credit to the choice of coffee used. "Simply one of the best coffee beers ever"

I liked it too.

Deep and dark brown, totally opaque, with just a hint of foam. I was served this from the taps of one of the most traditional Irish bars in Portland, O' Neill's, a historic building with brick walls and wooden posts, and gaelic words on the menu. But I digress.. Malty, and very slightly sweet raisiny, with faintest hint of nutty vanilla, but rich bitter coffee tones. Nice to get away from the heavy grapefruit in other beers. Not quite "chewy", but definitely smooth and solid. The strength is hidden by the flavor. But this is a substantial beer, sippable all night, and like coffee, good to the last drop.!

Loose pink-tan over viscous ruby-black. 4
Ash, fig jam and coffee. 4
Dark chocolate truffle, licorice, camp coffee, a vanilla hit, a bit of barrel, and warm whisky end. 4.25
Medium to full, chewy, round. 4

Pours big - thick w/a sweet nose - and drinks super smooth with not a speck of heat. Measured in the best way - vanilla, coffee, and whisky all subtle. At the same time: milk, whisky, oats, coffee and vanilla - what are you trying to hide? Not complex in the end, and not sure why it’s a porter (no roasty cut?) but lovely and easy. 4
