Look is nice, pale gold with a fluffy and solid 3 finger head. Retention is amazing, and there is some lacing. Smell is typical saison, Belgian yeast, spice and a bit earthy. Flavor is also very typical of a saison. The spices and cloves are very prominent but the yeast is also there. There is a nice bitterness as well. After a while there is a definite background sweetness that takes hold. The feel is medium bodied with some definite aggressive carbonation.
Well, I'm a little underwhelmed by this one. I had hoped it to surprise me, and it left me flat.
