GX Series -- "Au Lait" milk stout aged i bourbon barrels and infused with coffee from New Orleans.
We proudly present our GX series -- Batch #2. Each year, we select a single batch of beer that meets the highest standards and represents the finest we have to offer. This year, we chose our coffee milk stout -- Au Lait -- and barrel-aged it for nine months in bourbon barrels. We then infused the beer with coffee and chicory from New Orleans. The end result is a deliciously smooth stout with complex, rich flavors and an amazing coffee bourbon aroma. Enjoy now, or cellar for years to come.

22oz bottle served in a large tulip. Looks like it was bottle 164/300. Number is handwritten, and partially smudged off.
Pours black with almost no head. No visible carbonation. Smell is coffee, smoke, bourbon, vanilla. Smells nice.
Taste is actually quite good. Definitely better than your run-of-the-mill BBA stout (but not as good as the big boys). I definitely taste coffee, and a bit of the smokey chicory (which I don't particularly like in my coffee but I like in this beer). Nice solid bourbon flavor -- lots of vanilla and oak, moderately sweet (but not too sweet).
Mouthfeel is smooth, a little still. Not abnormal for the style, but not perfect. Overall, this is a quite good beer -- Geaux really did something right here.
