I tried this on tap at Chatty Monks - served chilled in a nonic.
The color is dark medium amber with ligh pale tan head with thick film of lace.
The smell is slightly fruity with yeast ester and mild diacetyl with mild caramel in the malt and hints of spice. The feel is mostly malt with light yeast texture and gentle spice from hops with slightly sweet middle with semi-dry finish with mild alcohol influence.
The flavor begins with tangy dried fruit in the taste and light malt flavor up front with slight caramel and hint of hops with spice element and herbal quality with slight diacetyl in the back with a mostly dry finish. This is a deccent ESB, but not the best offering from this brewer -good but not enough for a second
