16oz can from Aldi. Looks like a Stiegl Radler knock-off.
It is rather flat in taste but the Grapefriut flavour is noticeable. On a hot summer day, probably something I would not turn down at all.

16oz can. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, white head of foam. It smelled of grapefruit, floral notes and not much else. Tart grapefruit taste with sweet notes. Really light and tasted like grapefruit soda.

Cloudy golden straw with a nice creamy head and visible level of carbonation. Zippy grapefruit zest and honeyed malt on the nose. On the palate, a balance of biscuit like malt and sweet & tangy grapefruit (akin to sweetened grapefruit juice). Higher carbonation lifts it all from becoming syrupy and into a crisp finish. Overall a very refreshing drink and I believe a bit more balanced than their inspiration (Stiegl) due to the increased malt presence. Great job!

On sale at Aldi's because in the midwest you're allowed to sell beer in grocery stores, as god intended.

You know the drill: it's a beer with juice and/or soda. Some of these pre-packaged radlers/shandies are quite good, others are quite bad. But they're never too great or too awful because there's only so much you can do with this particular sort of beverage.

Bacher's Radler is more aggressive grapefruity than the more popular radler from Stiegl (which this one is obviously try to ape in both product and packaging. It's very sweet and fizzy and easy drinking, but you'd need to drink like 5 of them to work up a halfway decent buzz.

A: Pours a lightly cloudy medium golden yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + bright yellow colored highlights. The beer has a tow finger tall fizzy foamy bright white head that reduces to a large patch of very thin film covering about 90% of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate to strong aromas of grapefruit soda (think Fresca, almost like sweetened grapefruit juice) are present over the top of very light aromas of grainy malts.

T: Upfront there are very light flavors of grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by moderate to strong flavors of grapefruit soda (think Fresca, almost like sweetened ruby red grapefruit juice). Clean finish.

M: Light bodied with moderate to heavy amounts of carbonation. Crisp.

O: Super easy to drink with a very low ABV and very refreshing. I could easily have a couple of these in a single afternoon, it is great on a very hot early summer day here in NC.
