On tap at the brewery.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a faded dark yellow-ed woody color with a finger's worth of white foamy head that slid off at a fair pace. Slight lace ran here and there.
The aroma had pineapples, mangoes and papaya up front, then more like red raspberries further in the back. Light bready/yeasty sort of effect ever so slight in the background. Light perfume then bubblegum as it warmed.
The flavor yields to the sweetness of the blend of it all but once again, those red raspberries sit further in the back. Mild yeasty to pineapples and mangoes in the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. ABV felt on par. Carbonation felt fine. Finish was semi-sticky with the pineapples and mangoes.
Overall, very nicely done saison with a Simple Roots creativity of adding those fruits. Though after seeing the name I thought there was going to be coconut in this, oh well, not worried, I'd still have this again.
