On tap at Vermont Tap House.
The appearance was a fairly rich burnt yellow/orange color to it. Not much of any head even after a second pour from the bartender. Barely any lace.
The aroma had some strawberry sweet and tart whiffs running through some rustic grains and grassy/hay notes. Lemon rind and crushed coriander/grainy/earthy maltiness mesh in underneath.
The flavor leaned towards a mellow sweet berry character. Swift grainy/rustic/grassy/earthiness rounds it all out while mixing it on up in the aftertaste - many strawberries seemed to show their stature here.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sessionability about it. Good carbonation and some smoothness. Nice finish with what seems to more 'berry' than what I thought would be 'strawberry' but that's okay cause I really liked this beer to want more of.
I could see more pours preferably during warmer weather but also wouldn't mind doing a "black n' tan" with that porter I had by Good Measure.
Great job Dan and gang!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
