From a 16 oz. can sampled on July 16, 2022.
Handsome looking medium amber-copper appearance underneath a long lasting off-white head. Some lacing.
The aroma is most definitely malt forward with caramel, toffee, and a light chocolate base. Creamy too. Low to no floral hop presence.
Creamy medium mouthfeel.
Sweet malt character in the flavor with that caramel character but a lower bitter finish than I might have expected given the style. But it is a tasty traditional malt forward brew.

Poured from a 16 oz can; no birth date. Pours dark brown with initial one finger of head that slowly recedes. Bitter malty wood flavors with notes of rough caramel. Good for the esb style!
