Tastes watered down, I know blondes are supposed to be more subtle and easy to drink , but honestly it has less taste than a light beer. I Like the brewery, but this is not one of their better beers

i know a simple blonde like this will never be sexy, but i think its also real unfair to judge a beer so poorly that is objectively really good just because it isnt fashionable or unique. i thought this was a really nicely done blonde ale, and either its improved lately, or i just have a different set of preferences in this style than most people. clear golden in the glass with a short but lasting white head on top and lots of carbonation coming up. the aroma is clean and simple, a little bit of soft malt sweetness there, and a light herbal note from the hops, just basic, but clean and well done on the balance and the fermentation, there is no yeast character here at all, and very little residual sugar when i get to drinking it. the flavor has a light clover honey note which leads into the lightly grassy hop element in the finish really well, sort of minimal overall, but refreshing and highly drinkable as they go. great carbonation is always awesome in a blonde like this, and the light body and fast finish make it crisp and summery overall. way underrated here on BA in my opinion, this is a really nice blonde ale.
edit: just had this at a local establishment on tap that i will not throw under the bus here, but i can see why maybe others have reviewed this less favorably, seemed dirty and tired, cardboard and sweet at the same time, hopefully old keg or unclean line, thats what i suspect, but this was definitely not the same. ive only ever had it at the brewery for today, and no doubt its at its best at the source. if you have been wronged by the somewhere, try at on site, its far superior to the crap i just had. hard to police quality out there in the world i guess. i will leave original scores in place, but there is definitely some variability to this...

On tap at brewery. I think they’re getting better at this. Nice smooth, buttery beer, slick mouth feel with a nice creamy head. Malt with a tinge of sweetness.

On tap at the Broad St. brewery... Clear golden... Flimsy head... Expected grainy maltiness.. Just enough bitterness with a hint of grassy hops.. Respectable. Blondes are always tough to bring the ruckus, but this one is fine and very approachable.
