Named after War Bonnet Peak in the Sawtooth Mountains, this aggressively hopped brew boasts 8 high alpha hop varieties and clocks in right at 9% ABV. The tropical and citrus aromas are backed up with similar strong hop flavors and a dry finish. There are several layers of depth to this ultra hoppy brew that makes it hard to set on the table for long.

Had at the brewery about 8 to 10 years ago while visiting relatives in Boise, in September.

On tap at the brewery. Pours out an orange copper color, thin wispy head, streaky lacing. Big hops rule the aroma and taste, very big. 150 IBUs, not for the faint of heart. Bitter finish, as expected.

Growler fill, kegged under a week ago.
Pours a hazy dark orange. Looks great. Aroma is blood orange, melony, and juicy. Taste is... Well.... Freaking bitter. Lot of sweet citrus in the flavor, a bit of that melon, all carried to a nice warm boozy prickle at the end.
Overall, a damn good, if ridicoulsly aggressive hop bomb of an ipa.

150 IBU's as stated at the brewery. Pours slightly hazed orange with a long lasting white head... Melon and tangerine hop aroma with a pretty standard pale malt backing.... Bruising bitterness with not quite enough hop flavor... Really a pretty nice DIPA, but needs wired in to make it top tier. That said, I would happily drink more of it. Body is basically spot-on.
