really fresh and flavorful example of the style, better than many, and clear as can be from the tap under a short but active white head. aroma is all dry hops, some tropical fruit notes to it like pineapple and mango, a little sweetness and oiliness in there with that, but also a more domestic and familiar mosaic type profile, bright and new and good, even if not real radical, which is kind of the case with most of the beers i have had from thee guys, nothing extreme but everything well made. the flavor is balanced and not forced on either the dry hopping or the fermentation. its dry without the yeast seeming stressed to get it there, or with the chemical enzyme thing going on, no melted plastic like i sometimes get in these, its just dry and clean ipa, and it still has some bitterness too, which is a cool change of pace for one of these. maybe it doesnt pop like champagne in terms of mouthfeel, but its easy drinking anyway, and the hop profile is excellent while also being within reason in terms of dose. maybe a touch safe for the style, but better this side of the line than the other, and a tasty beer overall. i could drink a few of these puppies!
