i think this is better than its other rating here, one of the first new ones i have had from these guys in some time. its neat to have it be all about the wheat, no hefeweizen or wit yeast here to contend with, not hoppy either, its just the grain, and as such fairly old school, but the beer is nicely refined, fuller bodied but still light to drink in the way only wheat can be, and its pretty dry to finish so it retains some refreshment value, especially when served with a lemon wedge like they did it for me at funky taco last night, not usually something i want, or want chosen for me, but it flatters this, maybe makes me like it more, who knows, but the zesty lemony freshness gives this some life too. a honey note in aroma and mid palate on the taste, makes me wonder if they actually brewed it with some honey, a light orange wrinkle too, but its mostly about the pale wheat, which has dry cereal and biscuity notes to it, a soft nuttiness even without being rich or toasted at all, and somehow not boring even though there isnt much going on, like the wheat holds my attention just fine, we dont see beers like this much anymore. nothing spectacular overall, but its well made and sometimes (more and more lately), less is actually more for me in a lot of styles. this works well for summer but could easily be an all season beer for them. just fine with spicy food, decent carbonation, and good with the citrus added. nice.
edit: slightly less impressive the second time around but i will leave scores as they are. it seems slightly darker and heavier, but also somewhat muted in flavor, could be a freshness issue, but i liked this better last time, perhaps some inconsistency here.

16oz crowler from brewery. Medium golden, small foamy head, fades to flat. Grainy aroma. Taste follows with bready malts, light sweetness, touch of honey. Solid wheat ale.
