great to see some new flavors on the board here when we stopped in, not a ton of innovation lately it seems, but now a whole bunch of new stuff is on, mostly hazy beers, maybe i just havent been here in a little too long. anyway, this one is pretty solid, punches above its weight a little bit, really bold, a little filling, perhaps overly sturdy on the body side, very hazy, but fresh and with a tasty hop profile. looks real dense, maybe a little under attenuated and a tad dull, but with a frothy white head that leaves lots of lace in its wake. the nose is pineapple, guava, melon, tangerine, and papaya, a mix of tropical fruit and citrus from the hops, almost all dry hopped it seems, maybe a touch green, but pleasant overall, just unique enough to be interesting, maybe some strata or cashmere in here making it majorly modern and trendy. the flavor is good, about as good as the nose, just a little greenness on the finish, but juicy and fresh and bright overall. it lacks the level of refinement i want in the style though and drinks a tad heavy for what it is, but the flavors are good, more mango as it warms, some grassiness too, even a spicy layer before the finish that almost fills in for some hop derived bitterness. the grain is dry enough and its flavor is light, its not out of proportion there, its the body that seems too big, like i really only want to drink one of these, which is a shame because the flavors say otherwise, its well carbonated too, just more heft than is necessary. on the whole this is well done, the hop profile makes it, not amazing beer otherwise, but i am happy to see something new here!

16oz can from Brewers Haven. Murky yellow pour, thin, soft, white head. Aroma brings faint grapefruit peel. Taste is more mellow citrus, grapefruit, with a light zesty bitterness. Full mouth feel. This one goes down fast and is super refreshing.
