Saison brewed with gin spices according to the brewers. notable ingredients: rye malt, orange and lemon peel, juniper berries, angelico, lemon grass, ginger.
Couldn't really like this one. At first I was overwhelmed by the character of the spices added. Do not get me wrong the spices are not too much but it comes down to a flavor which I do not like. Is it reminscent of gin as it is claimed by the brewers. I don't think so and I am familiar to quite a few different brands. The Saison character shines through and seems OK. Oh my, I usualy don't get the spiced Saisons that do not accentuate the Saison yeast character but try to be something else entirely.
