Collaboration with Off Color Brewing
Our friends from Off Color Brewing came all the way from Chicago to RVA to brew a collaboration beer with us right here at Ardent! Infused with juniper berries and peppercorns, If You Please is a cloudy, unfiltered petite saison with a peppery, lightly funky character derived from a Lithuanian farmhouse ale yeast strain. This is a bright, dry, effervescent crusher, so enjoy a couple pints, If You Please.

On tap:
A lightly foggy pale, dirty body with a soapy head that has a moderate stature to it. Clinging bubbles Gail to stay gripped to the glass for long.
Nose and taste both have a farm house base with an old black pepper highlight. The peppercorns (of whatever color) have an earthy spiciness to them as they blend with the saison components. The juniper sneaks in the dude in both shell and taste, giving a slightly bitter impression, though the beer is pretty balanced. The saison yeast fruitiness enters in as the beer gets to a more proper temperature.
A bit tame on the carbonation, the beer isn’t too light or watery for a lower ABV offering. It’s still in the light to medium light range, though.
A nice little beer to break up heavier beers or maybe run a portion of a session with.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
