Bottle from the source.
Pours a murky deep brown with a frothy foamy off white head that shows great retention. Rich caramel and spicy earthy wheat with just a touch of honey and oak on the nose. The flavor is mostly caramel malt with that earthy spicy hefe yeast character. Very subtle oak and honey in both the flavor and the nose. Not a style I typically enjoy, but this is pretty tasty. .

This is a limited offering . This beer is made with dark wheat and dark honey and aged in virgin Missouri white oak barrels. Needless to say , this ups the price. However, it is well worth it. It pours a deep rich red-brown color with the thick head characteristic of a fine bottle conditioned beer. The aroma is woody with just a hint of dark honey. The flavor is amazing. The interplay between the dark wheat and the dark honey (not sweet honey, more of an ashy taste) combines with the oak to create a liquid symphony. Extended cellaring creates an overall smoothness to round out the experience. Note that this is very limited. When I last talked to the brewer he had only six cases left.
