A bit of an odd one if you ask me. Tastes like it has some of the malts that one might use in an imperial stout to give it dark fruit and raisiny flavors. Can't say I've had any other ESBs that have given me this impression, and I'm not used to those flavors in this style. But it's not a bad beer, just not my favorite from Boerne brewery.

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of ESB's, but this one was okay. It wasn't the best choice for a hot afternoon, but it served its purpose. Ultimately, I was surprised that Boerne Brewery produced it and I was down to support the local selection. If you like ESB's - this one very well might be for you!
