A tribute to the year our taproom building was built in Zeeland, MI. Our traditional German-style Hefeweizen bursts with notes of bananas and cloves, creating the perfect complement to your outdoor patio or favorite beer hall.

12oz can, wrap label. No dating information found.
Cloudy, unfiltered, deep gold colored body. Two fingers of white head with the pour but this disappears within a minute, leaving a skim coat and a thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma of caramel malt, banana, and cloves.
Taste is rather sweet, with flavors of toasted bread, banana, and cloves. Extended aftertaste of all flavors.
Medium mouthfeel. Smooth pass through. Yeasty leftovers. Okay carbonation.
Fits for style, and provides tangy enjoyment.

A pleasant surprise at a good price (6-pack at Total Wine in Grand Rapids). True to Bavarian Weißbier style. I might like a little more body, but it's a great beer. Great taste, good mouthfeel.

12 oz. Can ($2.13 at Copper vine) poured into a Weihenstephan weizen glass.

A- A normal pour creates a 1-finger, off-white head that quickly drops off to a light film. The body is just slightly hazy with a golden-yellow coloring and heavy carbonation. Little stick to be seen.

S- Big, sweet banana. Light clove. Something between banana bread and over-ripe banana.

T- Big banana as suggested by the aroma. Light clove. Some lemon in the finish. Sweet bready notes. Weird, almost apple pie-like thing going with the sweet and baking spice combo.

M- Medium-light body with lots of carbonation. More spritzy than creamy.

O- Meh. Not bad. Few U.S. interpretations seem to really nail this style. Light and refreshing. Almost too light/clean.

Thank you Blackop555 for this
12 oz can poured into weizen glass

A- A hazy golden copper with a small, fast fading, head.

S- Wheat, cloves, some bananas, hints of citrus.

T- Whear, breadth, cloves, bananas, touch of citrus and green apples.

S- Smooth, little to medium body, carbonation is a little of the high side.

O- A tasty Hefeweizen, easy to drink.

Nice amber color with a cool, crisp authentic German-style taste, this hefeweizen is very smooth.
