16oz can at Coastal Society in Douglas, MI. Poured out a clear, golden orange color with a good-sized, off-white head of foam. It left sudsy trails of lace on the glass. It smelled of citrus, pineapple, roasted malt and some pine. Roasty with sweet caramel. Piney, sharp bitterness.

On tap at TR in August 2018, TR seems to be crafting better tasting IPAs, probably a mainstay for me when visiting, but many others are still suspect.

Poured from a can dated 02/12/18
A: Pours a deep golden yellow, hazy, fluffy white head
S: Pure Citrus-tangerine, meyer lemon, grapefruit
T: The taste is sweeter that the nose, Lemon, orange, guava.
MF: A little bit on the sweet and sticky side. Good carbonation. You can taste the alcohol but there is no "burn"
O: This is a very good IPA. if it was local to me I would drink the hell out of it. It is lacking some bitterness to offset the sweetness and make this a little bit more complex.

12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 2/12/2018. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy golden orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance; and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/bready, and fairly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 8.4%. Overall this is an awesome DIPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical hops and dark/bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Never aggressive, Midwest style DIPA. 100% Mackinac hopped, feels like a blend between Amarillo/Citra on profile. Extremely juicy hop complexity, with a nice dark/bready malt backbone. Not too sweet/heavy feeling. A really enjoyable offering.
