pours semi cloudy with a big white head.
Drank out of a can purchased at Tricycle (the bar).
smell is citrus and sharpness from the tartness.
Flavor is fairly well balanced. definite citrus on the front palate, but then it goes tart. fairly clean finish for the style. Nothing bind blowing going on here, but pretty good. I could drink a couple

Breaming with succulent and tangy fruit, prime tartness and a hint of salinity, the gose of Marz takes that traditional northern German style and puts it on its head with the late addition hops for a fragrant perfume and a brighter taste.
Hop Gose Weasel comes as a darker shade of gold than what's normal. But its creamy, short-lived froth abounds with the bright scent of tropical fruits, citrus fruits, herbal and piney aromas along with a brisk scent of the sea. Light sweetness touches the tongue as a modest savory tone of bread crust and sun kissed grains seem honey and caramel-like, but very, very soft.
Coming alive on the middle palate, the acidic taste comes quick. Buffered by bread crust, the acidity does off an apprehensive patience while the taste of matured pineapple rind, mango, apricot, lime, lemon and green apple take a sharp and succulent taste. Seeming margarita-like with strands of agave, chardonnay and gin, the beer's earthen salinity plays into a slightly robust taste of sourness for balance, complexity and rustic charm.
Medium light in body, the taste trends dry as the acidity takes hold. Salty, citrusy, piney, grassy, cidery and surprisingly toasty, the melange of flavors are impressively balanced while the ale trails into a short, crisp, clean, but rounded display of culinary art- all on the bright, beach, and sunshiny side.

Sweet/tart/sour. Copious head. Taste is reminiscent of biting into a piquant cone of cotton candy. Slightly acerbic and saline, yet delectable. Unlike any other gose-style beverage imbibed heretofore.

Open Bottle - Tinley Park
Batch: #189
Hop Gose the Weasel is pale golden when backlit with a hazy tone throughout. When it out of the way of light it takes on a mandarin orange color. The foam is cottonball white with the same consistency. It's fluffy and billowy with surprising sticktoitivness falling no lower than a cap throughout the drink. Small but chunky spots of lace cling to the glass after each drink.
The nose has a wheaty twang, damp graininess if you will, along with a bit of minerality as well. Briney. The dry hopping brings a really interesting and fun element to the style with some orange and lime notes. There's a nice citric quality that hints at acidity with both lemon and lime. There is a fresh, green floral character as well. I'm a fan, I have to say, my mouth is watering.
The flavor profile is brighter and punchier than the nose but the basis is the same. Damp wheat is the first twang with the salty minerality quickly rising up its back. The dry hopping brings a vivid citrusy punch to the middle with orange juice, lime zest and juice, and a squeeze of lemon. A citrus fruit basket of sorts. There's saltiness, acidity, and even a touch of bitterness. I'm a fan of this beer, fo' sho'.
The feel fits the style well. The body's weight sits a touch shy of moderate while the carbonation is zippy upfront before softening and allowing the body to take on a velvety softness. There's a soft acidic bite along the sides of the tongue and a mild bitterness on the swallow, very slight. Drinkability is off the charts easy. A pint is not enough.
Hop Gose Weasel is a mighty fine beer from the mighty fine Marz Brewing Co and the mighty fine folk from Bridgeport. The dry hopping adds a unique citric aspect to the twang and minerality that I can surely get behind. I won't hesitate picking this up again in the near future.

Has a yellow amber murky color to it with a large white head that goes away quickly. Has a sour fruit smell to it. Tastes is of little bit of sour fruit wheat and notes of hops.
