I'm liking how Marz is maturing... In its 8th year, it opens its Logan Square rendition with even more community flair than its original taproom in Bridgeport. I also surveyed my 9 beers from them and only two did I rate below the BA average. And since 1/2 of the 9 are in styles I do not like, Marz is proving itself and.... I should pay more attention to them, maybe a visit to Logan Square during down-time.

As for Peppercorn, it is subtle and sophisticated. The blend of peppercorns is subtle, but I cannot imagine myself sitting still long enough to parse out the four different peppers used. And the foedre use is sophisticated; they caught it just in time so that their intended flavor is clear, but not dominant. A nice tart that I had with a spicy sandwich and saved a sample for dinner.
