This is my second effort in two days to explain a styling confusion involving marzens; but probably not succeeding at either. BA has only one listing for this collab with Une Annee'. However UnTappd has two listings; Marz as a German pils and Une Annee' as a marzen and it has a longer name Chugtoberfest; each has over 200 check-ins. This 2023 release also appears to be their second of this seasonal.
Which site is correct? Chugtober certainly Looks more like a pils than a marzen... but about the same pale as a festbier. Chugtober's Smells are so average that I offer no opinion. However my can Tastes more like a pils in the finish, seriously semi-dry. In my mouth, I vote festbier for its softness.
I can't wait for next O-fest to sort all this confusion out. Prost !
Overall, I like collabs and this one repeated (even better for Overall Hugs.) It also was suitable and versatile for lunch to wash down my medley of sauces with a southwest veggie burger.

16 oz can into a pint glass. Slightly hazy orangeish-copper color with a half-finger cream-colored head. Yeast and lightly toasted malt aroma. Taste features medicinal hop bitterness but more Marzen-like sweet malt. Medium-bodied mouthfeel that you can chew on. Interesting pilsner-Marzen crossover.

Shades of darker to medium brown in the semi-opaque body with a tan head. Smell is led by brown bread from the yeast, light grain, toast. Features more of a festbier yeast, multigrain toast, but a sweet malt with pilsner grassy hops. Feel is led by yeast, then hops, then malt. This was odd hybrid but enjoyable
