Poured from a can into a pub glass.
Pours a reddish brown, almost like a garnet color, with limited head but excellent lacing.
Aromas of blackberry, honey, and grain. Faint grass and floral notes.
The brew hits the tip of the tongue with honey malt, followed by a bracing blast of blackberry. However, the brew doesn't get sickly sweet or sticky as a result. The brew delivers a fresh berry flavor that is more neutral on the sweetness. The finish provides some grassy hop notes.
The brew is solidly medium but not heavy. Decent carbonation with a drying and maybe "crisp" finish.
A solid one-off from a good semi-local brewer.
