Sampling a cellar temp 16 oz can poured into my snifter. The beer is part of a trade with @jerryfreak. Thanks man!
Pop the top and GUSHER! whoa! Freaking geyser out of the can and onto the table. I manage to pour about 10 oz into my glass, but what a mess! yikes, blueberry aroma is huge on this spill right out of the can. So that is positive, I think, but messy, hurts the look score a bit.
Beer pours huge fluffy tan foam that fades rapidly to a clingy edge layer after the pour. Color of the beer is dark cola brown with no light passing through my glass.
Aroma is fruity blueberry with some sweet and some tart notes, this also have dark chocolate and some coffee ground and a bit of brown sugar note to, pretty sweet scents on the nose. No hint of the booze here.
First sip reveals a silky smooth textured brew with average thickness of body and very fine and spacious, almost still carbonation. Wish this were a little bigger body and know why the carb is almost non-existent.
Flavor is what I expect from the nose. I get some milk chocolate and a little roasted coffee, but the blueberry is dominant here. more of the sweet berry flavor than any tartness and this sweetness carries through to the finish.
No hops and again, the booze is well hidden.
I like this combo of the chocolate and blueberry. IF this beer was a little thicker and hadnt geysered on my table I would be really loving it. As it is, its still very good and Im glad to have had the opportunity to try it.

Poured a deep chocolate brown with a thinner creamy beige head atop.A mix espresso roast coffee and sweet and slightly lactic blueberries in the nose,a decent amount of char in with the roast. That charred element comes thru on the palate with that deeply roasted coffee, then comes, semi sweet chocolate, and then the juicy ripe blueberries that give off mild sourness but not too much.A real pleasure to drink, high quality coffee and blueberries come together very in this sweet stout.

If this were a fuller bodied stout, this would be an absolutely out of this world beer. As it is, the taste and aroma of this beer is killer. Bitter coffee balanced nicely by sweet but slightly tart blueberries. Slightly complex, but totally easy drinking. Best new beer I've tried in a while.

I had this on draught at Beer Study in Chapel Hill. 16 oz. pour served in a plastic glass. It pours a rich mahogany color with a fluffy, cafe au lait colored head and extensive lacing. The nose features roasted malt, fresh coffee, sweet berry and nuts. This tastes great! It's an amazing combination of freshly brewed coffee and blackberry. I've never had a beer with this combination before. It's creamy, almost chewy, with moderate carbonation, and the 7.8% ABV gives it a lot of substance. This is no lawnmower beer. Overall, I really like this! The combination of freshly brewed coffee and sweet blackberry works really well together. The blackberry is sweet but not cloying. If you have the chance to drink this stout, don't pass it up!

Appearance: From the growler, the beer pours a translucent espresso brown with a very modest head; a few dots of lacing hang around

Smell: Chocolate, blueberry and a hint of coffee

Taste: Blueberry and chocolate tones forward, with just a hint of coffee, through the middle; the blueberry tones linger through the finish

Mouthfeel: Medium body with low to moderate carbonation

Overall: I like the blueberry/chocolate combination a lot but would prefer a creamier mouthfeel with more coffee flavor

Growler from the source

Pours black with only a sliver of beige cream on the surface. This was filled a few hours ago, so I think carbonation might just be low in this. Aroma is like a delightful blueberry dessert...juicy fresh berries, nutty coffee, and chocolaty, toasty malts. Smooth blueberry presence in the flavor as well adding a pleasant sweetness and gentle tartness to the stout base. Coffee is light here as well and the fresh blueberry flavor masks the creamy stout beneath, but it doesn't really matter because the berry flavor is so natural and pleasant. Carbonation is light, but it still feels creamy. If the coffee stout was beefed up just a little, this would be amazing. As it is, the beautiful use of fruit has me super excited for upcoming for future fruited releases.
