A malt-forward, unfiltered West Coast IPA with a little more punch than usual from European hops like East Kent Goldings & Elixir, then infuse it with a cold-steeped concentrate using over 40 pounds of a very special Brown Sugar Rum Barrel-aged coffee bean aged in oak & roasted just for Haw River by the lovely humans at Joe Van Gogh.

A friend of mine picked up a can from the brewery 12-17-22. Canned 10-24-23; consumed 7-20-23. Cold stored since acquisition.
Beer poured a brownish-orange with an okay white head.
Nose is nice, getting some coffee and a bit of floral and citrus hops.
Taste is spectacular for my palate. Large malt base that is infused with a deft touch of lightly sweetened coffee beans, and a touch of citrus. Finishes wonderfully balanced; 5/10 on my bitterness scale.
Mouthfeel is medium to large bodied and smooth.
Overall a well-executed brew; hope to acquire some in the future!
