Poured from 12 oz. can into a pint glass. A translucent golden straw-colored pour with a small cap and modest lacing. Its nose features bready malt, lemon peel, and a whiff of spice. The taste includes the expected, biscuit/toasted bread with a generous amount of lemon peel. There is also a subtle spiciness and clean bitterness. This Lager is lite, crisp, and well-carbonated and the 5.8% ABV is above what I would expect. Over, Saxapahaw Lager is well-brewed and flavorful. I drank several on a hot, humid afternoon and they hit the spot.
