12 oz. pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a dark walnut color with a creamy, light mocha-colored head and thick sheen of lacing. A very attractive pour. Its fragrant nose includes roasted malt, rich chocolate, freshly-brewed coffee, and char. Just delicious! The taste opens with rich, dark chocolate balanced against bitter, acidic coffee, with a strong base of roasted malt and nutty char. There is also a delightful hint of dark fruit. The flavors blend seamlessly. This stout is moderate in mouth feel and the 8.7% ABV allows for great drinkability. Overall, it's a stellar Russian Imperial Stout. It's very well conceived and executed. I can only hope to have it again.
