Aroma is citrus hops, malts and vanilla/sweetness. The flavor is citrus, fruit, slightly nutty, tropical fruit and a mix of hop bitterness and mild sweetness in the finish.

i have not seen many hop driven cream ales in my life, but it makes perfect sense, and i am quite surprised more breweries havent gotten into them. this beer is intense on the hops, almost to the point of not really being a cream ale at all, but its well made beer like all of the bur oak stuff, and if you come in expecting more of an american pale, this is pretty darn satisfying. lightly orange, a tint or two more colorful than the normal cream ale, but nicely clear and heady too, white and wispy. aroma and flavor show have northwestern hop complexions, some pine and a lot of bitter, fresh but intense, botanical, and vibrant. the bitterness is striking here, well above expectations, and pushing it out of cream ale range, but it still has that crispness that i look for in a cream ale, almost lagered, almost ipl as crazy as that sounds. i like this more for being different than for actually liking it, i think its a bit too bitter and there isnt enough balance, but i like the idea, and i think this is a pretty clever beer all up. never disappointed by beer from these guys!

Crystal clear, golden colored brew...light white head..frothy, but subdued. The aroma is of light malt, a bit of veggie-corn, and some spicy hops. The taste is just a bit tinted to dry, with some grain flavor and a little hop notes. Medium-full in body and drinkable. Not bad.

Poured out a clear, bubbly, golden orange color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of grasses and toasted caramel. Sweet caramel with a nice bitter bite. It's a cream ale but more hopped up like an APA.
