Pint pour on draught at the brewery. It pours a slightly hazy, golden honey color with a modest, milky head and lacing. It has a nice nose: bready with whiffs of caramel and citrus. The taste follows with sweet grains, caramel, and a hint of lemon peel. The feel is lite and crisp with pleasant carbonation, and at 4.5% ABV it is highly drinkable. Overall, Old 63 is a well-made, very quaffable Pilsner. It’s on the sweet side and I wish it were just a tad hoppier. I’m looking forward to drinking the Imperial version.

This was another beer that I picked up at a Walmart in Jefferson City, Missouri not too long ago. Not the biggest fan of this style but when you're a roadgeek like me, you have to give props to a beer that celebrates a local highway. Thankfully, this was a nice take on the style that was easily true to form, easy to drink, and enjoyable while not breaking any new ground at the same time.
Of course, this poured a nicely radiant straw gold with fine bubbles rising up through the liquid, as it was topped off with plenty of offsetting head. Well-defined sheets of wavy lacing remained throughout as the suds never fully subsided from the top of the liquid. Noble hops, straw, grain, and light fruit on the nose as the taste had some floral notes, grain, spice, and a bit of mineral water that gave this plenty of body and an interesting depth. Plenty slick, somewhat rustic,
German in feel, this felt like something imported while being local in feel at the same time.
No heavy feeling here as the carbonation was just enough to keep this from being weighted down as a chaser of water was needed to fully get this down in the end. No canning date was to be found anywhere although this looked and felt plenty fresh. This wouldn't win anyone over to the style but it was a solid take on the style that was fitting for the Show Me State. Session beers in those parts don't get much better than this!

I had this beer on-tap in a pint glass at Omaha Tap House Downtown.
Appearance: light golden hue with a tiny bit of haze. Head is a finger of frothy white foam and leaves a nice lace on the glass.
Smell: quite grainy with a little bit of malty sweetness. Hops are light but present; not bad.
Taste: a bit sweet, with a light bitter bite, but also with a trace of something almost sour. So, imperfect, but not like undrinkable or anything.
Mouthfeel: medium light body with a good level of carbonation. It’s creamy, rather than rocky, so a bit unusual for the style. But I like it.
Overall: an interesting take on a Pilsner. Decently refreshing if not particularly traditional.

Poured from a can. Light straw in color with a white head. Smell has biscuit and slight fruity hint going on. Taste follows the smell with the pilsner malt coming through. Very good pilsner.

Draft. Yellow with fluffy head. Pils malt and subtle noble hops on the nose. There's a weird flavor I can't quite place. Kind of plasticy or chemically.

Pours a hazy yellow, fluffy white head. Aroma of bread, cracker and a bit of malt. I was expecting a thin watery beer but this has a nice feel and good carbonation. A very nice beer.

On tap. Poured a clear, golden-yellow color with a large, pillowy head of foam. It smelled floral with notes of bread and crackers. Sweet caramel flavor with a toast-like taste. Just enough bitterness.
