An Upstate New York-style cream ale with a Rare Form twist. You'll feel like royalty sipping this light-bodied ale aged on locally toasted coconut. The coconut flavor is a subtle sidekick to enchant the palate and still allows the traditional style to shine through.

16oz can from Halftime. Cloudy golden pour with a lasting thin, creamy white head. Aroma is toasted coconut, sweet. Taste is more of the succulent coconut, toasted and what seems to be some lactose, adding milky s wetness and delivering a really creamy feel.

I've had this on draft and poured from a can. The coconut really shines through in smell and taste, however the beer is nice and light so it isn't overpowering. This beer is super crushable and perfect for a warm day. It's nice when someone does coconut well. Rare Form's best beer imo.

i thought this was pretty good, my first beer from these guys and a pleasing drink overall, despite the rough edges. it looks a little flat from the tap, brass colored with a little shine, but the liquid goes almost all the way up to the rim of the shaker pint, a bad look. the nose and taste arent overdone on the coconut, and i can immediately appreciate that it is toasted and not raw and fleshy. there is a warming nuttiness but still light and tropical, a baked or cooked or caramelized rich and sweetness to it thats nice, and a heartiness i like a lot in a light style like a cream ale. there is a bit more malt to this than is needed, and so as a base cream ale i think it could use some cleaning up, a nice mineral profile and fine grain flavor, but it isnt crisp. part of that is the poor carbonation, its not quite flat but it really sags and that hurts its drinkability and refreshment where it would otherwise be very high. i like the natural coconut and the decadent toasted aspect, its flavor is better than its quality overall if that makes sense. everyone is putting coconut in everything these days, and im fatiguing of it for sure, but i like what it adds to this, it saves a mediocre cream ale really...

Poured into a becher pint glass, the appearance was a hazy copper color with a two finger white foamy head that slid off at a good pace. Mild stringy lace running here and there.
The aroma plays with some toast, coconut, melon, orange sweetness, light strawberry and ended with a little bit of white bread.
The flavor mildly leans towards the sweet side encompassing most of the prior mentioned aromas but leaving out the strawberry. Aftertaste was mainly coconut, white bread and a touch of melon.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation felt fine. ABV felt on par. Finish was brisk with some melon and coconut, semi-sweet.
Overall, as a cream ale, it's weird. As a pretty nice all around complex beer, I'd say yes, and would love to have again.
