Sampled on tap at the Ryogoku Beer Station, Tokyo.
This weizen beer poured a hazy, golden-straw color with creamy, white foam that clung to the sides of the glass. The smell was modest: wheat, malt, and a hint of fruit. The taste was a little thin but included wheat, bitter hops, and malt. The mouthfeel was dry, almost astringent initially, with a crisp, tangy, lager-like aftertaste. The body was medium and the carbonation low. This beer was OK, but it was served too cold, and tasted better once it warmed up a bit. (Served in a tall, thin mug.)
