A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with just a minuscule collar of off white bubbles around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of whiskey are present in the nose along with notes of dark chocolate.
T: The taste starts off with some initial flavors of chocolate and very quickly transitions to flavors of whiskey from the barrel aging. Apart from the whiskey, no other alcohol is perceptible.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied and smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout has a lot of whiskey in both the smell and taste, but what I found to be remarkable was how nicely these were blended out with the underlying beer so as that they weren't overpowering.
