Another acidic wonder with too much bourbon: a tweaker's Jack and coke.
This was the final of our 3rd Anniversary horizontal, in which we obviously did not have these fresh. On top of all the wrecked palates having just had the previous four acid bombs, the age did no help for this.

not sure if this is the monsters but definity the green label
got this from flbeerfan in his lif on talk beer thanks man!
looks great in the glass! completely dark with a small mocha head. cycle makes killer stouts
aroma is fantastic, bourbon comes first in this one, followed by coffee. great sweetness in the back
flavor follows the nose, bourbon upfront, followed by coffee than vanilla sweetness cutting the bitterness, excellent.
mouth feel is good, it's better carbed than the others ones. thick like most cycle stouts
overall this is another excellent beer, this series might be some of the best coffee beers available. get it asap to enjoy the coffee, i can tell the coffee is aging in this one a tiny bit. what really makes these beers good is the vanilla barrel sweentess that cuts the coffee bitterness right at the perfect time

This is the green bottle.
Big thanks to gregh for ALWAYS hooking up the cycle. was very pleased to obtain this full set but was shocked at the lack of interest in not only opening the set all at once, but even the lack of interest in opening these bottles in general w my tasting group. this set gets a lot of hate cause it was so available, and many people claim that they are very thin and while I agree that for a cycle stout these are on the thin side, they still drink like a cycle stout...Big Bold Robust flavor's w a rich body.
Not as meal in a glass as some of cycles older offerings but this isn't a sesionabble stout either, but I have no issues taking these down solo dome. The coffee is solid and the base stout really works well. Barrel characteristics are very subtle in this one but in a blind tasting I'm sure most would be pleased w this beer. Not a 5 star, but not a clunker either. Just tasty.

Poured into a snifter from a bomber. Opaque brown with a modest tan head that did stick around for a while. Nice aromas of coffee, milk chocolate, vanilla, and faint chili pepper. I got the pepper on the first sip, but the spice faded quickly, leaving way for the other flavors. Very smooth and drinkable. Enjoyed this very much.

Got this one from vanlingleipa. Cheers!
From a bomber into a snifter
Brazil Oberon Edition
APPEARANCE: Clear black pour yields a three finger, thicker looking, creamy, dark tan head with great retention. Black body with no carbonation evident. Head slowly fades to a nice, full, creamy cap and clings to the sides of the glass. A splotchy wisp remains until the end but leaves no real lacing down the glass. Good looking, just like the rest of them.
SMELL: Much like the others. Sweet vanilla cream, milk and dark chocolate, some creamy coffee notes, oak, bourbon, and a touch of butterscotch. Lovely stuff and plenty bold enough.
TASTE: Oak and bourbon with roasted coffee and some sweet vanilla up front. Milk chocolate as well, with some booze and bourbon into the swallow. A bold and lingering finish of oak, wood, bourbon, alcohol, some dark chocolate, sweet cream and a touch of creamy coffee. A bit more heat and wood on this one.
PALATE: Medium-full body with low levels of carbonation. Silky and smooth on the palate, goes down slick and finishes somewhat sticky on the palate. A bit of heat lingers. Much like the others.
OVERALL: Another delicious treat. This one is a little heavier on the oak and wood in the finish and is a bit lighter on the coffee profile compared to the previous two. Whether that’s a good thing or not is a matter of taste. I might prefer the other two over this one, but it could just as easily go the other way. Something you’ll have to try out for yourself. Regardless, this one is put together really nicely and the look and feel are right up my alley, just like all the others in this series. Wonderful stuff that I’m very happy to have had a chance to drink. Thanks again vanlingleipa!
