This one pours a pretty dark black, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells way less sweet than I would expect with Cycle stuff- there's earthy roasted malt, spruce, tobacco, very dark chocolate, oak, and slight leathery bourbon.
This is a whole new world for Cycle stuff. This is a not a "adjuncty" sugar bomb like most their stuff, though that's not a knock on their usual stuff- I love it. But this is burly and bitter and earthy, with some pine/spruce, tobacco, char, oak, and leathery bourbon. There's a lot of flavors that I'm having trouble unpacking, honestly.
This is medium bodied, a tiny bit thin, but that's Cycle. This has a lower level of carbonation.
This is a really unique beer when compared to Cycle's usual stuff.
