Collaboration with Casita
This batch was brewed questionably sober in the middle of the night after drinking among other things some 199 year old cognac that wasn’t terrible, or great, it was hard to say as that was the end of the night until mashing in seemed brilliant. Imperial Stout aged in Cinnamon Vanilla Barrels with Peppers.

Midnight black body with a small brown bubble ring. Smell has cinnamon, vanilla, slight peppers, cocoa, bourbon, brown sugar, and a hint of maple, really pleasant, could be an air freshener. Taste loses the peppers all together, and instead I am met by waves of bourbon soaked cinnamon and vanilla with some cocoa. Peppers are in the feel with a slight tingling in the throat, but otherwise the feel is frothy, boozy, and smooth.

I get a lot of the adjuncts, but I get a bit of vinegar and that throws off the whole thing. Couldn't finish an 8 ounce pour. Was looking forward to this one
